I'm curious. Is there a page on the Vizio site or some other website that keeps up with the apps ..... when new ones are released or updated?

After a painless phone call, no questions asked they said they will send me a brand new TV. Very, very impressed with their service. Luckily my tv is still usable for the Super Bowl, just has annoying lines.

Make sure you register your tv on setup because they already have all of your information. It's great service.

I bought one last night at the Costco in Woodinville and it is a 51 sn.

Wanted to pick this unit up but I am kind of scared away with all the problems reported. Please convince me why I should.

I am in the same boat. Was headed to get one today and read thru the owners thread. WOW! Lots of issues with this TV!

Reading through a thread like this one might understandably give one cause for concern. However, consider that "most" of those coming here are only here because they did have some sort of issue, as we've been reading. But, what percentage of actual E601-A3 do they represent? 10%?, 1%?, .01%?

I don't have the answer nor pertinent statistics, but I would consider that most owners of this set are NOT having any issues whatsoever, we just don't hear from them simply because they have nothing to report or any problems to investigate looking for solutions in a forum such as this one.

I bought mine at Best Buy on December 27th, and couldn't be happier with it's performance and terrific picture quality so far (knock on Formica).

Not saying at some point I might not join them, but for right now, all's well!

I'm having my first real issue with this TV after owning it for three weeks. It keeps dropping the Wi-Fi signal? I have a Netgear N600 router which is on the same floor as the TV (basement)-it sits about 40' away from the TV on the opposite side with a sheetrock partition wall being the only major obstruction, which should be no big deal for a wireless router. When I first got the TV I had full signal strength from the get go and no issues whatsoever. Today I tried to fire up Pandora and it told me that the wireless connection had been interrupted. I pulled out my laptop, sat right in front of the TV, and pulled up a Youtube video without a problem-the laptop showed full signal strength. I ended up turning the TV off and back on again which did get a connection, but it would work for a while and then drop the signal again, causing me to restart the TV. Anyone else having this? I would say that maybe the wireless just isn't reliable enough and that I should use an ethernet cable, but it was perfectly fine for three weeks?

I have the same setup as far as the TV and a NETGEAR N600. I've had it going since the TV was delivered on December 29 with no interruption or problem so far. Both are in the same room with about 20 feet separating them, so there's no possibility of any interference with mine.

When you open the NETGEAR Genie, does everything indicate all's well?

Was at the SAMs club in woodlands, tx today, all the 60 vizios had serial numbers with 50 or 51. If anyone is interested in buying. I think I'll wait when it hits $799.

Not a regular visitor until recently when studying up on this TV. I've posted to the tracking thread but wanted to provide more details here.

I have a 47 SN that I received on January 31 from Amazon. I've loved it so far but have noticed a couple things.

1. Twice the TV has frozen for about three seconds while watching Netflix. The screen goes blank but remains powered on (this specific issue is via alerts from my wife that I've confirmed the details of in person). Then she powers the TV back on even though the white status light on the bottom-left of the TV never goes out. It turns back on and defaults to HDMI 1 even though she was just in Netflix (probably normal since TWC box is on). She starts watching again with no problem. I eagerly await to witness this for myself.

2. On dark/black screens, there are some minor bright spots that aren't very distracting but can be noticed if you're looking for them (and I've been trying to notice everything possible). White screens seem to show some clouding or circular distortion (halo effect). It's very slight and hardly noticeable, but noticeable nonetheless. 98% of the time, it's fine and I absolutely love this TV's picture. Coming from a 47" Vizio LCD that I loved, this is even better and can live with what I've noticed so far.

Just a couple observations that I wanted to contribute after reading through the thread. Is what I'm seeing a pretty standard thing for LEDs? Luckily, our room is bright during the day and well lit at night and I've yet to watch TV without any lights but will try soon. I'll post pictures if it becomes more noticeable.

Lastly, it came with 1.1.4 but after a day, it updated to 1.1.5. Didn't notice any issues before or after the update.

Just an interesting observation.

First, my replacement TV is perfect and I am very, very happy with it, so far. I'll be ecstatic when June arrives and all is still well. Could be the best $688 I ever spent on anything.

One thing I have noticed since the update to 1.1.5.
I have a digital audio auto switcher and it monitors the various digital audio feeds I have plugged into it and then will automatically switch to the 1st input which is active. Previously, once I turned on the TV, the digital output from the optical digital output was steady until I turned off the TV. Now, I notice that the digital feed is erratic in that it is on for 3 seconds then flashes off then on again, over and over and over again. If I select that output, the sound is perfect with no lip sync or other audio artifacts. And, the digital signal does not go away long enough for my AV Pre/pro to reset or need to re-identify the type of digital feed it is getting.

I wonder if the interruption of the digital signal from the TV is how Vizio corrected for the audio sync problem?

This morning I'm noticing my 1st sync problem. It's slight but definitely there. The audio appears to be consistently slightly lagging. It's across every station and it's instantaneous .... which basically means that I notice it the second I change channels. It doesn't get worse but just seems to be ever-present. I've tried turning off the TV, turning off my Comcast cable box and that doesn't help. I've tried switching between PCM and Dolby Digital and that doesn't really help either. And I am on 1.1.5.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Update. So after an afternoon of trying different settings on my tv,cabe box and Sony surround system, the problem resolved itself as soon as I switched to a non HD station and back again. As soon as I went to a 480p station, the slight lag corrected itself with the HD stations. Strange.

My TV froze three times last night while my wife was watching Switch on Netflix.
The screen goes blank except the power light remains on.
The remote is useless for a few minutes.
Finally the TV pops loudly and comes back on.
I thought maybe the popping was the speakers regaining a signal, but with the stereo off and the internal speakers off, the pop is still there.
I think it's time for a Walmart exchange tomorrow.
I need to talk to Vizio support first to try and determine how their serial numbers are running.

As mentioned in previous posts, my set is a 46 S/N and the local Sam's Club had about 30 that started with 02.
I want to make sure the 02's are the newer batches and not refurbished customer returns.

Sounds like we're having similar problems and the problem my wife mentioned sounds more legit now. I'll be on the lookout. Let us know what you find out.

I'd be curious if anyone else wants to struggle through Switch to see if maybe it's a Netflix issue with that stream?

Just spoke with a friend that works at Costco and he also said as stated above that all sets between serial numbers of 39 and 48 were being pulled and sent back to Vizio for full credit. He did say that the problem doesn't affect all the sets only a small percentage. I have a 46 s/n

Ut-oh...this don't sound good. I have no problems with my TV sn 43 (yet) got it in early December.

Costco and Vizio I know had a agreement with that two year warranty out the door and Costco might of been getting too many returned TV's and asked Vizio about this. This sounds like a private recall with Costco only..NOT GOOD..how would Costco know what serial numbers to take off their floor, Vizio had to tell them something to do this and what serial number range.Just because some are ok now..if there is even a "PRIVATE" recall..all should be recalled from any owner and retailer!

Will follow this situation more.

Please God I don't ask for much in life..Please don't let me get the BSOD at super bowl time today...anyday but today is OK.

I'm worried I can't take it back if it happens today, have 10 friends coming to watch the game and if it gets the BSOD..I can't return it with all those shoes stuck in the screen ( avoids the warranty)!

Paranoia is running rampant...

I ask those reading this who have had NO PROBLEMS with their E601-A3 to help offset the fear and anxiety that permeates throughout this AVS Vizio owners community because of the minority of owners reporting problems within this thread. Too many are on pins and needles wondering when it will be their turn.

End the madness...help us understand it's not as bad as it may seem reading through this thread.

I think if you get past 90 days it's probably a good set. Every failure has happened before that. I'm at 101 today on my 39.

Even though I'm only on day 33 with my SN 50 (albeit, 3 days after the conclusion of Best Buy's "you have 30 days to swap or return your set for any reason" deal), my set is performing so well, and the picture so outstanding, I can't comprehend that anything will go amiss. Of course, time will tell, but Vizio stands behind their sets from what I've read in here, so if something does go wrong at least I know it will be taken care of post haste.

Got one on these for my dad last week, couple days in and there is a Green line on the right side of the screen :/ other than that we have not run into any problems,

I have green line on right as well but only on the super bowl broadcast. Must be something with the broadcast. No concerns...

Directv provider, also present from OTA.

I too have a green line on the right side watching the super bowl.....I cannot duplicate on any other channel. I did not notice this in the first half....did any else notice that?

It was not there for Beyonce performance.

Is that on the CBS channel for the Super Bowl?

Mine also just on the Super Bowl broadcast. All other channels are great.

Do you guys happen to have the same provider in common?

I have Comcast and NO green line for me...perfect picture.

I noticed the green stripe down the right side of the screen around or under the 2-minute mark.
I changed channels and don't see it anywhere else except on CBS.
