I got Walmarted by the clueless staff and management.

Well my daughter came through! She waited in line for 3 hours and I'll have a new tv when I get home in the morning. wOOt

For sure. Although she all about the Black Friday craziness. Her and her boyfriend took the tv home and took off again to hit some more stores.

Stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home from my in-laws just to gawk at the crazies and there didn't seem to be that many people in the store so I got on line for the TV. After a lot of confusion and waiting they started giving out tickets-I was the 7th person in line and they only had 6!!! I'm taking this as a sign from God that shopping on Thanksgiving Day is morally wrong.

Arrived 6:20pm for 10pm (EST) walmart. Was 16th in line. 14 units were available. Quickly sped to another walmart 20 minutes away. all of their units were accounted for just the same. Not today. Congrats to those who scored.

So I know this comes with a 2 prong power cable at 6ft long. Anyone know where I can find the specs for the power cable for a 12 ft long? I want to run everything through my cable management in the wall & I know 6ft is not long enough. So pumped to grab the TV for 688 at Amazon!

I really dont want to relive it. 3 hours of my life that Ill never get back. I should have been the first in line, but half a dozen Walmart staff and managers gave me a bogus map and told me to stand on the other side of the store from where the line and tickets were being given out.... told me that there was no line and no tickets being given out.

Ill probably pick this up at Costco and get 3 years Square Trade for a 5 year warranty.

I refused to be furious, but explained to the manager, that I wasnt upset I didnt get the TV, but that I wasted 3 hours of my life, after being given bogus information. How bout a sign, fergawdsake! No map is better than faux maps.

First and LAST Black Friday shopping trip ever.

PS - I think the Sharp 60" 60LE640U is going on sale at Walmart tommorrow for $998.

I was fortunate enough to snag one of these from Walmart today. I've figured everything out, except one small problem. I previously had a Sharp Aquos, which came with Aquos Link. Basically, when my A/V player was connected to my TV, I could control the volume of the A/V with my TV remote. Also, if I shut off the TV, the A/V device would shut down as well.

This TV however, doesn't appear to have anything similar. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish such a task with this TV, or am I doomed to having to use 2 separate remotes for volume and one for TV/Cable control? Thank you.

I plan to wait and not let the frenzied season drive me. They've set the value for these units now and I think the price will drop over the next several weeks as inventories get replenished. I'd be happy paying 800 or so for one.

It just burns me that the store I was at only had six of them! Other posts on here indicate that other stores had 20 or 30-I'd love to know what their rationale for distribution among their stores is?

Yeah, but no matter. They play us for suckers. All the Black Friday hype, websites with just a few and we're grovelling for a chance to be the one in a thousand that get's what we are expecting. I like this TV and all that, but I'm not gonna get wrapped around the axle with the foreseeable marketing ploy.

Already Amazon's dropped it by 50 again. They want our dollars - make them come and get them.

I made a deal with my 20 year old... if she landed me the 60 at Walmart, Id get her the 40. She got the 60.. so I went ahead and bouth 2 of them, what the hell. Then we bought two of the 32 inchers since the 40 was gone. Our Walmart had 50 of them(the 60 inch set), and we were numbers 24 and 25. As the line started moving... they just gave you a sku with the tv on it, some clown tried to jump in. I stopped that real quick. The line was pretty smooth and the people were fine. You took the sku to the register, paid for your stuff, went around back of store with vehicle, loaded up and off you went. My kid go there around 7. They had 350 of those 32 inch westinghouses in store.

My Walmart had 52 of the Vizio's. I was 31 in line. Easy peasy score for me. I don't think they even gave them all out. I think she still had 8 more tickets by the time 10 rolled around.

60 and 70 inch landed on the deals $688 and $1499 (plus 2% back from amazon)

Let the waiting for delivery begin !!!!!!!!

I scored this from Walmart.com Thursday. Looks like it will be here next week. Looking forward to getting this setup in my basement. Now I just need some sofas to sit on.

Just picked one up in Greensboro, NC for $688. Had 5 left in the back. Elmsley Street store btw.

I'm honestly surprised that Walmart had so much in stock. I was expecting like 10 or so. I don't understand why Sam's club had a "VIP" sale and on that sale was the Vizio 60inch in which they only sold 10 at the $698.00 price. I got mine at Sam's club.

Does anyone know what the latest firmware v 1.1.4 does? The Vizio support site doesn't show it.

Okay so I picked one of these up at Walmart last night (They only had 11 of them I was 6th in line, 5 hours early) and out of the box the picture was not good at all, this set took some tweaking for sure, First I tried the cnet settings posted on here and while watching blu rays they looked alright, but I noticed that anytime text was white or actually almost anything that was white was on screen, it had a yellowish or brownish color, not just on blu rays but live TV and video games also, this was really annoying to me! You guys actually like that look? Anyways I ended up turning the color mode on "Custom" instead of "Normal" and that pretty much totally fixed this. Still not sure how I want my picture for blu rays, gonna mess with that some more.

Another thing, For playing games on Xbox 360 or PS3 or PC I turn the sharpness up to about 8 or 9 on this set, otherwise the picture looks VERY blurry and washed out, on my last TV (A SHARP from about 4 years ago) I had the sharpness on 0 and it was fine. The sharpness does add a little hue around certain things but that doesn't bother me nearly as much as having a horribly blurry picture. Anyways after tweaking I'm pretty happy with this set especially for the price!
