Oh I will get a PS4 when the time comes no matter what!
I have a PS3, an OG fattie that I could probably sell for way more than a new one
But I have shelf space issues. My amp, PS3, and whole house audio controller currently take up the available shelf space in the cabinet so my cable box is standing vertically on its side next to the TV. Neither stable nor attractive! Thought would be to move the cable box into the shelves, and replace the old PS3 with the new super thin one. And I could either sell the OG or move it to use with my bedroom TV.
Or I could get the same BR player as Richard. My concern is that I have no experience with how/whether Sony updates existing BR players over time whereas I know first hand how well Sony takes care of PS3's. I can't count the number of software and app enhancements pushed out (free) over time. Even at 3X the price of their standalone players the PS3 seems like a steal.
Still, aesthetics have their price!
