Agreed. 2.5 years old. Good deal as long it's working. And get him to state that in an email so you have it as proof with a PayPal dispute (if it came to that).

Thanks. He just found old receipt and was mistaken that he bought in 2009 so 3.5. He sent me serial number and all. I will have him send an invoice from paypal requesting funds and stating its in 100% guaranteed working order and maybe get a copy of receipt.

As long as it works, you are absolutely going to love what it does for home theater. It's definitely on par with the rest of your new setup biggrin.gif

If/when you get it, have a couple of the four to five star movies on hand from this list: The New Master List of BASS in Movies with Frequency Charts. Great for seeing what a new good sub like that can do.

Me too I never thought I would be able to put together such a rocking 7.1 setup for what I paid. I got ver . Lucky with my finds.

3 x energy lcr's = $600
2x energy vs dipole surrounds =$420
1 x energy rc10's rears = $200
Add that plus the Svs sub and total is = about 1550

Wasn't looking good to spend that much but u had that itch.

Will be great with my 65" mitsubishi dlp and Onkyo rc360

Now just to spend about 1k to remodel the theater room

What is the warranty period on my new SVS product?
SVS has a 5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, which is one of the longest and most comprehensive in the consumer electronics industry. Warranty exclusions include (but are not necessarily limited to) force majeure, acts of nature, AC power surges, and abuse.

Spoke to SVS and it was only 3 years at the time. Out of Warranty. Are these expensive to repair and how often do Subs from SVS die?

SVS's new list of customer promises along with that 5 year warranty only came in to effect a year or so ago

If it hasn't been used that much, and it works right now, it's hard to imagine that it will suddenly fail on you. SVS is known for making reliable products. But I think I'd offer $375. IMHO, used home audio subs don't resale very well on Craigslist.

However, I also think you should take your questions to the SVS owners thread. Get help figuring out the best value for this sub from all the people that own one.

Well he wants 350 shipped. Going to see if he will do a little lower. I'm going to get it

$350 shipped sounds pretty reasonable as long as he has tested it recently out of the box since he put it away.

Congrats! smile.gif I hope the sub's working 100% when you get it, 'cause if it is - and once you've got it set up and dialled into your calibrated system - it should put a big smile on your face. biggrin.gif

You should love it! Let us know how it sounds once you get it hooked up. biggrin.gif

The pictures looked good. Always skeptical of used.

This is an obvious statement, but Make sure the amp still works. I just got a SVS Ultra out of storage and the amp didn't work anymore. Called them up and they said it would need to be replaced.

I just saw your post on the Energy Owner's thread about the SVS. Congrats, if the sub is in order, you should be delighted. You probably scored the best bang for your buck. So do you have it now? Did you try it?
