n00bie question -how to hook up Klipsch Reference RW-12d to Denon 1712?

My current specs:

AVR: Denon 1712
Front: Pioneer SP-BS41-LR
Center: Pioneer SP-C21
Rear: Pioneer SP-BS21-LR

75% use for HT, 15% music, 10% games.

The room is 10' x 10'.

Denon 1712 has one suboutput. RW-12d has two sub inputs. at which point does the sub signal needs to be split for optimal performance? at the receiver end or at the subwoofer end?

According to the Klipsch's manual, you can connect to either input or to both inputs. Aside from perhaps providing more signal to trigger the auto-on function, connecting to both inputs will not improve the performance of the sub regardless of whether you have:
- a short splitter near the AVR + two longer single cables to the sub; or
- a single longer cable from the AVR to the sub, with a short splitter near the sub.
