No. It turns on when a voltage threshold is reached, and a splitter doesn't affect the input voltage.

Mediabridge.

In the end, behind the entertainment center and forgotten on the floor, after years of use, covered in dust, nobody will know the difference. But you'll always know, the cables, when they were brand new, fresh, just out of the box, had high marks for cool factor and yes, to me, that's worth a few extra bucks. Just because and even though a nobody, my owned and recommended subwoofer cables are.........Mediabridge subwoofer cables.

I agree. They are good quality and affordable. Not so cheap you have to worry and not so expensive that you are wasting money.

I personally wouldn't consider buying a sub cable that wasn't shielded coax. Preferably RG6 quad shield.
