Pioneer-SC-27 Troubleshooting

Thread Starter
i have a pioneer SC-27 Receiver, the ADVANCED MCACC flashes but receiver will not turn on. We have had power failure.
I've bought the receiver in Houston USA through a friend, but don't have a pioneer service close where I live in Africa.
Can someone give a hint to allow an electronic engineer ( a friend of mine) dig into the receiver???
Thks

First unplug the unit for about ten minutes, then plug back in and power it up. If that fails, try a factory reset -- see the owner's manual or search the main SC-27 thread here on AVS. That might fix the problem.

Try this -

During Standby mode, simultaneously press and hold the DOWN and ZONE2 ON/OFF keys for 2 seconds.

These buttons will be on the front panel. This is the amp error release procedure for the ice amp models. If this doesn't work, then a trip to the service ctr is in order.

Would this also work for the older models, like the SC-07?
