I have been using my Sony 34XS955 Super fine pitch (calibrated by Chad) over the years for SD gaming (PS2, Gamecube, Wii) and I am now ready to get a PS3. How will HD gaming at 1080i on this TV look compared to a current TV (example Panny VT plasma) at 1080p? Am I losing much with 1080i vs 1080p? I don't think 3D is a big deal breaker for me. I am afraid to get a new TV (especially LCD/LED) because of some of the issues/short comings (input lag, motion, IR, etc) with current technology. However having a larger display would be nice. So should I abandon my CRT for a new TV or not as it relates to HD gaming?
