Yamaha RX-A820 Audio In Issue

Thread Starter
I just picked up a new Yamaha RX-A820. As I am connecting devices I connected a CD changer to the AV4 optcal input and no sound. I switch it to AV1 and now I hear music. I have tried a couple different optical cables with no difference. The 2 coax connections work fine as do the AV5, AV6, Audio1 and Audio2. Anyone else have this problem?

Thank you for your post. When you have the CD changer connected to AV4 make sure that you have the Yamaha receiver set to input AV4 by pressing the AV4 button on the remote. I know it sounds basic, but it's always good to double check. Also, try another optical source on AV4, like a DVD player or cable box - again, just to double check.

Beyond the information above, please contact our support staff @ 1-800-292-2982. We are available 24/7.

Thank you,

Yamaha AV
