Can anyone identify this chair rail/wainscottiing?

Very interested in maybe using this. Can't seem find anything similar. Is it just plain wood painted brown? Sorry total newbie to this!! smile.gif

Actually it could just be off the shelf base molding and chair rail with the in between drywall painted to match. Hard to tell from the picture. Since the lower portion of the wall is one long unbroken surface with no visible seam that would be my guess.

Just a painted wall with moldings. Works very well especially if the drywall is textured differently (or not at all) than the wall surface above the chair rail.

You guys are right. Just a chair rail and base molding. For the life of me I thought it wasn't just drywall.

I agree. Just having this picture I would swear that it is off the shelf molding. The chair is almost definitely Standard Chair Rail profile #390, sold everywhere.
