I found this at a thrift store. It will be my first step to creating my home recording studio (I Hope) it didn't come with anything else, including speakers. Do I have to have an amplifier to go along with this in order to get sound from it? Or can I just hook up some speakers?

You need either:

1) active speakers, which have amplifiers built in, or

2) passive speakers plus amplification, probably either a receiver or an integrated amplifier.

Thank you, I will be on the hunt for either than, I am trying to make this project of putting together a "recording studio" from the good vintage stereos!
