I don't understand why you are fiddling with settings in your graphics card. I have an old hd radeon card which has nothing special about it as regards 3d.
All I do is play whatever 3d or 2d movie through media player home cinema and the pj does the rest. No fiddling with settings required at all in the graphics card settings.

If I play the 3D file with MPC-HC or TMT6 without adjusting settings in the nVidia control panel it just plays two videos side by side.

Thats what its meant to do if you play a sbs movie. You have to manually select sbs in the pj 3d settings so the pj knows what to do with it.
Thanks for the reply. I tried doing that but I get "the current image/settings do not display in 3D".
You need to enable 3d first in the pj settings then you can select sbs in the menu.

Interesting. That definitely worked thanks and it appeared to play in 1080p as well.

It is a little less intuitive then through Nvidia settings. When the right click menu pops up its really blurry, wide, and hard to read. While under Nvidia stereoscopic it's 3d and very easy to read.

Needless to say, thank you, you gave me a great idea. Would 3d blu rays isos work as well?
The menus are not encoded for 3d viewing like the movie is so they will have that effect. I'm no expert on nvidia 3d vision but as far as I'm aware its intended for 3d gaming use.
what I have told you is the correct way to view 3d movies. It is the pj that renders the 3d not the graphics card. Any other way and I doubt you are viewing true 3d.

I see. I think it all makes sense now. Thank you a million times for clearing this up. I thought the GPU had to do all the work.

Anyone heard/read of an issue with the 3020 remote not turning off the projector? Even standby does nothing. I have to power off from the PJ itself.

Once it's off, the remote nor the power button on the PJ will turn it back on. I have to unplug it before any of the power buttons will work.

A couple issues mentioned on the 3010 here, http://www.avsforum.com/t/1402198/strange-remote-control-issue-epson-3010 and the firmware that was done to address the 6010 here, http://www.avsforum.com/t/1422305/epson-6010-wont-power-on
If none of the 3010 solutions work, a call to support and asking for help with firmware, or advice might be necessary.

I'll try those, thanks.

I purchased an Epson 3020. An upgrade from my Sony VPL-HS20. I was very pleased with the picture quality and eager to enjoy 3D viewing.

However, before I could even buy my first 3D movie the projector failed. One week of ownership and 30 hours on the projector all of a sudden a vertical green line appears down the center of the screen. Always there no matter which input is selected. It comes on immediately after powering up even while the Epson logo is on the screen.

Now the real fun. Dealing with Epson Customer Support. It has been a week since I contacted Epson. They explained the replacement process to me, they explained that they would charge my VISA card and ship a replacement which I should have in 48 hours. When my original projector was returned they would credit my VISA account.

My VISA card was charged the very first day. A week later, they have yet to ship me a new projector. The current promise is that they will ship me one next Tuesday, after Memorial Day. They have already promised to ship me a projector on two previous days, even giving me a FedEx tracking number on one occasion. So far no shipment. So much for that promised "Epson Road Service Warranty".

^^ Epson is known for great customer service and I have dealt with them in the past without any issues. Call them and they'll fix this.

Wow that sucks. They should have already shipped that to you

Apple was the same way about the money when I replaced my wife's Iphone under warranty. They basically charged me retail price for the new phone until the old one was returned to them. So what if you don't have $500 for the phone or $2000 for the projector that you can let go for a couple weeks until the money is returned to you? Your options are very limited. It's a pretty sorry practice really. I remember when I replaced a Motorola phone and another brand of phone a few years back they shipped it in advance and never tried to charge me anything or a put a hold on my card

I have called and written them every day until today. They are closed Saturday, Sunday and this Monday.

You might try disconnecting all video sources/cabling, then power it up for a look, just to make sure no feedback or interference is involved.

That was one of the first things that I tried. The projector is defective.

A replacement 3020 did not get shipped today as promised by Epson Customer Relations. This is the third time that I was promised a replacement that didn't happen. The latest excuse is that they are out of stock on 3020's. They are looking into sending me a 3020e instead. I have no need for a 3020e as I already have multiple high-speed HDMI 1.4 cables run to the projector location.
Why can't they just tell you the whole story from the beginning? It has been a week and a half so far. No projector shipped yet. So much for the "Epson Road Service Program".

Humorous story, NOT!

Tonight at 8:00pm EST I received a call from Epson America. It was a Customer Satisfaction Survey. They were calling to make sure that I was happy with the new projector that they had shipped to replace my defective projector.

I asked if this was a JOKE? They were calling in response to my original call from last Monday (May 20). I explained to her that I have yet to receive a new projector despite calling and sending email every single day. I explained that I have been promised a replacement on three separate occasions but it has not yet been shipped.

She said that she would escalate this to management. Good Luck. I have tried on three separate occasions to get contact information for Management at Epson America Customer Relations. Every time I have been blocked. They keep transferring me to Anna Marie, who I have been dealing with since last Tuesday without any closure. Does anyone have contact info for Epson America Customer Relations Management?

They don't even talk to each other at Epson America. I would have a hard time recommending this company to anyone despite the fact that I loved the projector for the ONE week that it did work.

If anyone wants to sell their 3020 and its in great condition give me a holler. I'm leaning towards buying it new from Amazon but if someone would part with it at a much better used price I would be interested

I am sorry to hear about this, and unfortunately there's always someone with a bad experience. However, as I stated above, Epson has great customer service and if they offered you a 3020e (I assume) free-of-charge, why complain and not accept it?

The replacement unit arrived on Thursday. A 3020e but without the wirelesshd sending unit. So really just a 3020 replacement. Epson Customer Relations seemed to be trying to get me a replacement only nothing went as they first said it would. It finally took 10 days to get a replacement.
