Is this 65GT30 a good buy?

A local dealer made me an offer for their demo unit for $1000. Worrying it is a used unit, I also bought their 4-year extended warranty for $200.

I was originally looking for a 65GT50 or 65VT50. I didn't have the chance to compare this demo unit side by side with the newer ones. However, the PQ looks good to me by itself. I was in Fry's and Costco earlier looking at some other smaller plasma sets at the same price. None of them seem to look that good. There is no cosmetic wear that I could find with this unit and all the original accessories are included except the packaging.

It is about a week now and it seems to be working great so far. Through the service menu, the TV has been on for about 4600 hours so is probably in the shop for about 13 months. From other reviews, the newer GT50 and VT50 seem to have better PQ. Since I can return it within 30 days, I am wondering if this still a good deal.

I bought a Sansui plasma demo from Fry's that had a few thousand hours on it. I have had it for 5 years now and it's still a fantastic set.

Hello,
That is a great deal. The Sarasota Best Buy has new in box 65ST30's for $1899 I think. It might have been $1799. Regardless that is a great deal provided the Manufacturers Warranty still applies.
Cheers,
