That's Jena Malone and Kevin Costner in the photo. I watched the streaming version on Amazon Prime a few days ago as my thoughts turn to baseball in the middle of winter. Bull Durham and The Natural will likely follow this week.

While watching FLOTG (1999) I was struck by how similar it was to An Officer and a Gentleman in that both movies tread that fine line between being a guy's movie and a chick flick.

Something for everyone. wink.gif

It's an iconic shot from the '82 version, Bill. I guess I'd be surprised if they duplicated it exactly in the re-re-make, which I've not seen.

It is, really? I didn't know. I dug a challenge pit and fell into it.

I learned from the commentary track that the dog is "Jed", a total professional: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1058600/

By this point in the movie, the audience knows there's something up with the runaway dog. Dog goes into room, shadow figure shown looks up and.....cut.

The scene above (caught her looking) makes one think of caption contests, like "Yeah? Big deal. At least I have arms."
