Sorry, not the one but you're the closest so far. The photo is of Macy Gray. It's becoming evident that I'm the only one who has seen this film. wink.gif

Here is one more shot to ice this movie.

This is a trick question. It's Resident Evil: Extinction, the third movie. The film opens with footage from the original Resident Evil, but cropped from 1.85:1 to 2.35:1.

I feared this was the case when I made my last guess.

It was a man's eye at the beginning of Blade Runner.

Interesting - i wasn't aware it was the same eye shot.

The opening scene of the first movie is replayed at the beginning of the third.

I knew that - the 4th has a slightly changed version as well. I just wasn't aware that he reused the same shot - guess I figured he'd actually bother to shoot it again.

Very good. This film is one of the strangest and kinkiest I have seen in quite a while. An all-star cast with Matthew McConaughey, Zac Efron, John Cusack, Nicole Kidman, David Oyelowo, Macy Gray and Scott Glenn. Of these stars Kidman, McConaughey and Cusack were clearly operating outside their comfort zones. Whatever acting niche you've placed Kidman into her role in this film will likely redefine how you think of her. The movie is based on a 1995 novel. A period piece with a bit of film noir. The film got a 16 minute standing ovation at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival although I'm not sure why. This is one of those movies where the acting is great but the story is not. YMMV.

Wrong! Bullitt

Point to Aliens. biggrin.gif

Thought it might take a while to get Final Fantasy since a lot of people haven't seen it. But you made short work of both of them.

Bullitt was as easy as I thought it would be. Although I was hoping I might catch someone who in a weak moment saw the Mustang, instantly thought of "Eleanor" and posted "Gone in 60 seconds" without realizing that it's a different Mustang.

Bullitt is still my all time favorite car chase. With the front-wheel lockup in the shot I posted, followed by the wheel-hop due to the crappy live rear axle suspension systems they had back them when he has to back up after sliding too deep into the corner. And then the fantastic, completely real, no camera tricks or film speed nonsense high speed sequence where they are going so fast that you can see the suspension completely unload on the inside of the turns and load up the outside tires.

Yes, from the first scene. That's good detection! I was hoping to lure someone into guessing a double dip with Barry Lyndon.

My review: The Duellists (1977)

Steve McQueen really drove in most of those scenes. He was an accomplished driver.
