I've got an HTPC with a JVC RS1 projector and a separate PC that I do photo editing on. Is the best strategy for ~$250 to get a meter like the i1Display Pro and use the included Xrite software to calibrate both computers (one projector, one LCD monitor)? If I want to pick up a used i1 Pro on ebay to profile the i1 Display Pro against, can I still use the offsets with the Xrite software or do I need to look at something like CalPC, Argyll CMS, or ColorHCFR? I've read a bunch of threads but still unsure the best strategy if I'm not profiling a non-PC driven display device. My experience in calibrating is with an old Spyder2 sensor that is WAY off now.

Thanks!
