I've heard the Martin Logan MLT-2 are rebadged Cinema 90 speakers. Newegg quite often puts the 5.1 package on sale for $299. Sign up for the emails to be notified of a sale. Might be all you need since it includes a subwoofer.

If you can find any of these locally you should try to audtion yourself. You can listen to the Def Tech and CB-5 at Best Buy Magnolia stores. The others may be harder to find.
