More Duo 222k Questions...Hey Wajo!

I'll try to keep this understandable.
1) My receiver keeps powering down in the middle of the night
2) I can't find a code for my VCR portion of my DVD Recorder/VCR combo (strange)
3) I've been trying to set up for ERD with no success
4) I can do all the recording I want manually, it's just timer-recording that's bothering me
5) I have the updates mode disabled and still #1 continues each night
6) I have been using the autotune timer type. Even if the receiver is off, it's supposed to turn on for selected programs. Doesn't happen. If I select "VCR" timer and set begin and end times would that affect the receiver. I don't see how, since it's not setup to run the DVD/VCR combo (ERD)
