For some time I wanted measure what the Yamaha's YPAO actually does. I finally gathered an EMM-6 mic and an Art dual pre USB, and took a few snapshots.
My REW knowledge is still very limited... REW measurements are attached.
My room has not been treated (yet), not even a rug covering the hardwood floor.
The speakers are Monitor Audio GX200, and 2 SVS SB12-NSD subs. Receiver is Yamaha RX-A1000 (pre-out) and XPA-3 amp.

Pure Direct / YPAO flat comparison:
It seems to me that, in my case, YPAO is not making a great deal of difference over no equalization. I realized that the A1000 did not equalize LF, but I was hoping for something better for the rest of the spectrum.
I am going to work on the 50Hz null and sub integration as I learn to use REW. For now the subs are sitting close to the main speakers, trying to keep things simple at the start.
