Marquee 8500 installation and calibration

Thread Starter
Hello,
I desperately need some help for the installation of my Marquee 8500 Ultra. I just moved to Texas from Italy.
Many years ago the projector was professionally installed by the person who sold it to me (and by the way the picture was amazing!)
I have three memories, 1 was used for PAL DVD, 1 for NTSC DVD and one for 4/3 tv.
In the past I was using the video converter vigatec with 1080p definition.
I just installed the Moome external card and it works fine. The real problem is that I need to make Geometry adjustment and convergence but after I’ve done them I am not able to save them ☹.
The projector will be used at almost the same distance from the screen as before with the same screen.
At the end of convergence, I confirmed to save it but nonetheless it is gone.
It looks like every time I change memory I need to start from scratch. mad.gif
The original memories have the signal of the key like they are password protected. Do I need to ask for the password?
By the way I am not very familiar with the setting…
additional info: if I press UTIL 3, I can see only two memories available.
I would really appreciate any help.
If you need any additional info to answer, please ask.

I tried to read the threads regarding the marquee but I could not find anything related.

Thank you very much in advance smile.gif

wow, Italy to Texas. From the birthplace of of the Renaissance to red neck hell smile.gif

Relax, we will get you going. YES, you need to unlock those recall memory's. Utility menu, source set-up, current channel locked / unlocked = toggle it by pushing the enter key.

You should also be using channels. I have a simple guide that walks you through basic set-up if you like. E-mail me through my signature link and I can send it.
the marquee has something like 80 channels available you can pre-program. Realistically though a used Lumagen HD for $150. would accept all your sources and output one resolution = 1 channel on the PJ.
Since you have a moome card now, you might even be able to get a modern AVR receiver to do this as well.

I remember I sold 1 or 2 8500's to Italy "back in the day", wonder if it's one of mine?
