3D depth setting affecting horizontal image size

Hi there,
I just entered the 3D world with a Sony HW30 connected to a HTPC running Windows 7 and PowerDVD 12. I noticed that any 3D BluRay movie displays a smaller image in 3D compared to 2D. Only when I reduce the 3D depth setting in PowerDVD to 0 does the image fill my screen. I thought BluRay 3D offers full-HD resolotion. Is this normal and if not what can I do about it?

Many thanks in advance,
Jonas

Nobody? I can get the image to full size by turning 3D depth in PowerDVD 12 to zero but then I have to move the depth slider on my projector from the default value to a higher one. Since I am not completely happy with 3D at the moment (slight flickering, ghosting, no "wow" effect) I would just like to know whether I was expecting to much or whether there is something wrong with my setup.

Cheers,
Jonas

I noticed the same thing, at least while playing mkv files. If I play the same movie in iso format, this does not happen. I also noticed that hardware acceleration does not appear to work for mkvs, while it does for iso.

Strange sauce if you ask me.
