My living room requires a larger TV so I'm targeting at least a 65 Inch TV. I've tried a Samsung 65 es8000 and vertical banding was extreme. Switched to a Sharp 70 845u and while there was no banding, the PQ was quite poor compared to Sony and Samsung. I now have Sony 65 HX950 and there is banding with this TV as well.

I am an avid sports fan. I watch Football, Soccer, Golf, hockey and baseball. Banding gets really distracting with these sports... I'm desperate of the PQ of a Samsung/Sony but without banding.

Suggestions?

Samsung UN65EH6000, full array (sorta) no banding, great pic quality for the price.

what panel type? on white sticker on back of TV or box under "Version"

That's a Sharp panel. Based on my own experiences and what I've read from owners of Samsung LEDs/LCDs with S-PVA panels, those sets always have vertical banding to some extent. Perhaps there is an exception to this, but I have yet to see it. Take for example, the 65" ES8000 sets all having vertical banding. Most likely because Samsung only uses their S-PVA panels in that screen size/model.
