"Mark All Forums Read" is not functioning - Page 2

For now, mark an individual forum read from that area and all forums from the main page.

I understand the workaround...I was asking if there is any progress towards fixing the problem.

We'll be notified once it's been fixed, but we don't ask for progress reports.

UPDATE...

Sorry to say that the release has now been pushed to next week based on this being a holiday week. So NO NEW FIXES or UPDATES today. The rollout is quite a large one with many items...so the decision was made to wait.

Sorry guys. Not much more I can say other than sorry.

Has the fix been implemented? It has been another 3 weeks...

I just tried it and it seems to have been.

Thread Starter
This is broken again all day today. None of the forums are marked as read till I leave the forum and come back.
I see that, too. If I refresh the page the threads are all marked read.

There is now a dialog box that comes up telling you that you just marked all threads read. DUH! as the young people used to say. That's a pointless step, an insecurely nagging need to be clicked.

Further (and this has been true from the beginning of Huddler), "marking forums read" presents "This forum or all forums?". Since we're reading "this forum" that is the one to clear. Just do it silently, no confirmation needed.

It's better today.

The threads are marked read and the do-nothing confirmation box is gone.

The traditional "this forum or all forums" choice is still with us.

Yep, I asked them to remove the unneeded confirmation popup.

I click on "mark forum read", and close out & come back in and the forums are still not marked as read. It has been hit or miss the last few days. Sometimes they're marked as read & sometimes not.

I've clicked on "mark forum read" several times this afternoon but it still does not work.
I've closed out the browser & logged back into avsforum but it makes no difference.

It's working here with Firefox 21.0 on Linux.

Do you have any javascript turned off? That will affect site functions.

No one else is reporting this. Try a couple different browsers as well to narrow it down.

I didn't have a problem until about the time that the extra dialog box that came up was removed. When you said I was the only one having a problem I cleared the cache in Firefox & that fixed the problem. Once or twice a year it seems I have to clear the cache to clear up a problem.

Thanks
