HDMI or Cat 5e extender

I just received a new projector on Friday and I am going to be installing it hopefully this weekend. Where I am going to mount the projector it is going to be about 50 to 60 feet away from my network/AV closet. I have been reading a lot on here about Redmere cables, Blue Jean cables and cat5e extenders. I am really not sure which route to go.

My setup will consist of a Onkyo 607 with all my sources plugged in to that and just going out to my projector. Thanks in advance

Personally, I would just go with a HDMI extender (monoprice has a decent one that uses 2 cat 5e wires).

this is the one that I would go with but it is not available right now. My projector is 3D and though I do not watch much if any at all i want to future proof myself

2 x CAT6 plus your choice of HDMI over Twisted Pair Extender is a good option where you have an AVR in the mix – any ‘active’ cable is always a bit of a risk if you hit interoperability issues with the Source, AVR or Sink (Projector).

With the 2x CAT6 in place you have many types of Extender you can try out should you have a problem!
