Screen turns on and off, when connecting surround system.

My Tv Screen Picture turns on and off, when I connect my surround system to my Ps3.

Sometimes it all works fine, but mostly the screen turns on and off all the time, every 1 second.

The same happened when I connected my laptop, but only with a 20sec delay for each on and off.

What could the problem be?

I did what you told me, but nothing worked.

I even tried different orders, in turning them on.

I get a picture for 1 second, which sometimes also comes with some strange horizontal lines. Then is goes black for 2 sec, then the same posses repeats.

Could there be something wrong with the HDMI cables?

I did what you told me and I did not work.


But I found out something strange.

I connected my PC screen to the surround system and my ps3, since it has a HDMI slot.

When I did this, it took about 5 seconds and it worked flawlessly.

Then I took the cable back in the LCD TV and it worked.

So I turned off everything again and retried, and I got the same error. Turns off and on all the time and sometimes even stays off all the time.

So I tried to connect to my PC screen again and it worked fine. Then took the HDMI cable to LCD tv again, but this time it did not work. Retired a few times, but the same on and off all the time.

Something wrong with the TV or the Onkyo receiver not being able to connect to the TV as it should? Really strange stuff.

It worked fine ever since I got it, with a few in and outs sometimes, but just recently it has started to bugg out completely.

I missunderstood what to change in the options and I actually changed what you told me to do and it fixed the problem, thanks a lot for your help! really appreciate it !


Also, what does deep color off actually do? Make it look a bit worse?
