I'll be doing video interviews of some folks outdoors. Subjects will be seated, the camera will be on a tripod, and I'll have access to 110V AC. I've never done video interviews before, and the big question I have is about capturing the audio. Should I look for a camera that takes an external mic, or should I forget recording "good" audio onto the video track and use a separate digital voice recorder? I have experience editing video to match up video & audio tracks, so I'm not worried about post-production.
