Mits 73" DLP, new DLP chip=new calibration?

Hey everyone, Mitsubishi is replacing the dlp chip in my 73833 as I am starting to get that white dot problem many people have had. My question is this...when they change the chip, will that change anything with my professional calibration that I had done, or is that performed on the logic board...I just don't want that knocked out...I sure hope not. I would just like to find out before hand. Thanks!

I would find it hard to believe that it wouldn't. But, that is only a educated guess on my part. At least, it would reset the user settings.

If my memory is correct when I replaced my main board I lost my settings along with my set hours. I'm not sure where the chip is located but if it's not on the main board you might be good.
