This unit was given to me recently, the previous owner had just replaced the lamp unit because it had burnt out.
Prior to him re-lamping it, he had always noted a distinct yellow 'blob' in the center of the screen, which has been getting progressively larger.
I had googled this subject an came across this forum, the multiple threads and posts concerning this problem seemed simple enough for me to undertake repairing it myself.
Trouble is, I had submitted 2 requests at this particular thread, to no avail, no one has responded. The subject was dated some time ago, perhaps this is why I am getting no responses.
It is with hope and submitting this new thread that the original members who had this problem and had repaired it please respond.
