Wow, great deal! I had a hard enough time getting the wife to okay the purchase of the 47" TV that I did not need. I had no shot at spending more money for the 55" that I would have preferred. Man, money is so over rated!
I have played with a bunch of settings so far, the Wizard II, some settings recommended here but I actually think I like the standard option with the brightness lowered to 25 so the blacks are deeper. I am pretty happy with that picture.
I recorded a movie last week on 3net called something like sea creatures. If they play it again check it out. Some good 3D! Also check out Open Season which I think is playing again in the next few days.
For 3D glasses, if you have an h.h.gregg near you they sell a 6pack for $9.95. They are like $25 on Amazon. It comes with 1 men's pair, 1 womens pair, 2 kids glasses and 2 clip on flip glasses that attach to prescription glasses. I can make use out of all the different types it came with so it was a good deal.
