Yes, I use the Gold Medal "Glaze Pop" in my Star popper.
It's soooooo good!
The package says not to use salt but my Gold Medal popcorn has the salt and popcorn in the same packet.
Even using salt, it tastes great
From Concession Stands' website
"Glaze Pop is a light popcorn frosting and will not offer the full kernel coverage of traditional candy coated popcorn that is made with specialized equipment. Glaze Pop offers an easier, more economical alternative to using expensive mixing equipment and is the only product available that is custom formulated for use in a regular popcorn machine
"Make Caramel Glazed Popcorn in your Whirley Pop! Fresh, warm Caramel Glazed Popcorn is a special treat that in the past has been a multi-step recipe that could take over one hour for each batch."
Directions:Use the regular amount of popping corn and oil. Do not use salt. Use a measure of Glaze Pop that is equal to half the quantity of popping corn. For example, with 1/2 cup of popping corn you will need 1/4 cup of Glaze Pop.
Glaze Pop cooks directly in the pan - put the oil in the pan, allow to melt and get hot, then add your popping corn. Slowly add the measure of Glaze Pop.
Let pop and dump corn promptly. Do not wait until every last kernel is popped. Make sure all corn is out of the pan. This prevents burning.
Repeat for additional batches, always making sure the oil is melted before adding corn and Glaze Pop.
This is the popcorn that I use. The salt is mixed in with the popcorn in this pack.Edited by pcdoctor - 11/4/12 at 2:06pm
