The guys over at Harman Kardon announce two brand new Home Theater Receivers from their 2013 line-up -- AVR-700, AVR-1700. Both of these beauties feature 5.1 channel speaker configuration, HDMI 1.4a connections, decoding for Dolby and DTS audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, and USB ports.
As for price... The AVR-700 retails at just $299 and the AVR-1700 for $499. What do you think?

In addition, the step-up AVR-1700 provides a total of six HDMI inputs, Internet Radio (vTuner), Apple Airplay, and access to media files stored on your PC and media servers via DLNA compatibility. Harman Kardon's EzSet/EQ automatic speaker calibration system and Harman's Logic 7 and Virtual Speaker audio processing are also included.
However, it is also important to note that neither receiver provides video processing or upscaling, and to access the onscreen menu system of the AVR-700, you must also connect the receiver's composite video output to your TV or video projector. The menu system of the AVR-1700 is visible via the HDMI output.

. IMO. I'm excited for these amps, they're great options in the price category and AVR realm they fit in when you compare the Pioneer 522-822 or 1022 and/or the Sony 720,830 and/or Yamaha 373,473. And @Krutsch is right, they've been at my BBY out here in MT since mid September.
