I'm going to re-ask a question that was posed earlier with no response. Maybe nobody knows the answer.

Does the audio out send a 5.1 signal to a receiver?

Took me 15 minutes to get it all to process (started at 10:55, finished FINALLY at 11:10), but it went through thankfully. Their site was running very s...l...o...w...l...y and kept asking me to re-enter info on various pages. Frustrating while going through it, but it looks like we got one!

I'm looking at the manual for the M3D651SV model. reading the manual, that model outputs either Dolby Digital or PCM through the Optical Audio. It also has RCA jacks which are labeled Stereo output. I assume that means it will send the 5.1 out via optical (but not necessarily via the Stereo jacks)., though I really don't know that.

I don't have mine yet, and I don't know if the m650SVE would be the same. You might be able to check the manual on the vizio site for that model.

How do I buy it at Sams online when it says it is sold out online and pick it up at club? There is no add to cart or check inventory button. What did I miss?

I bought it with my citibank VISA so I may get a price match from them. Problem is that mine might have to go back which will mess up the pricematch .....

I have a big bright cloud in the center bottom. All told it is about 1/6 to 1/8 of the screen. It is visible anytime there is a dark scene or someone has dark, or any solid clothing such as red or blue. My brightness out of the box was in the low 50's, so is backlight.

Will this fade after a few days? It VERY obvious in that second when the program goes to commercials...big gray blotch. Quite obvious as I said when the area is meant to be dark.

I could swear someone said he fixed his by rubbing it or something, but I can't find that post. It may have been for the E601, but I looked tonight and didn't find it.

Am I supposed to take it apart and shove it back in the box to exchange it? What would Vizio do if I claimed it under warranty rather than return it? That seems a pain in the but. We had a bit$% of a time getting one set of the screws in the base and figuring out how to hold the screen while putting the base on.....Plus, it't too heavy for me so hubby would have to help and ...

Also, as I said...I'm doing citibank price rewind. They claim to search online for 30 days for a lower price and credit you if it goes lower. I'm hoping I get a credit for this weekend sales. IF I return it I might lose the credit right? Then after I rebuy it (in the exchange) it will be after Friday's sales and I would lose out....

Thanks! (except for the blotch we love it...replaced SONY wega 55")

I went into Walmart earlier this evening and put this tv on layaway so that anytime on Friday after 7am I can go in, cancel my layaway (forfeit my $5 deposit), and purchase the tv at the $999 price (they will price match any sale running concurrently). In the meantime, I'm going to try Amazon for the E601i-a3 deal for $688. If, however, that doesn't work from now til Friday, I'll go pick up the 65" and pay the $999 +$5. Seems like a win-win to me. Good luck to everyone else in their attempts at finding these tv's for a great price this holiday season!

no luck..."requested quantity unavailable"

on to next problem which is exchanging it for one without the cloud. I will post a photo tomorrow...
I think it's defective, so I hope to just bring it back assembled and get a new one....if they have any.....and hope it's not worse...OR see what Vizio will do...

I've been checking... this TV is out of stock online...

So now this means I'll have to be at the store early on Friday morning.

I was fortunately able to get this TV ordered at ~9:55pm CST. I cannot wait to get this thing setup in my basement and ready go to!!! Lets hope none of us have any defective delivered units! Off to IKEA this weekend to purchase a stand...

Who told you about the layaway??
I asked about it for the 60 deal and was specifically told that layaway is closed on Friday and that they will not price match bf deals via layaway

Nothing. It's crap. Turn it off and leave it off.

What it does is changes the backlight level, depending on what is on the screen. Light scene high, dark scene low. But it is quite noticeable in it's fluctuation and is distracting and degrades overall quality of the video playback. Also when it is active, it overides any backlight level setting you may have adjusted yourself. This BS DCR is designed to expand the Contrast Ratio, by varying the backlight level, full blast on bright scenes (brighter absolute level whites) and turned down to it's lowest on very dark scenes (darker absolute level blacks). Which it does, but the floating blacks sucks and is very distracting, as 30Plus said.

It is not widely publicized but Walmart will price match any deal for an in store ad running concurrently at any time. The only items they will not allow you to place on layaway are the "doorbuster" items which they themselves advertise. Please see below:

Anyone know whether or not Costco will have this TV reduced in price for Black Friday? I read a post a few pages back from someone saying they know someone who works at Costco and they told him this TV didn't look like it would be going on sale.

I'm not bothering will all this black friday stuff ... WAY to much of a pain ... I have the TV in the living room that for 1300 is a friggin steal in itself ... but I sure am hoping they will reduce this TV this weekend as well at Costco cause all I have to is bring in my receipt and they give my money back right three!

We'll see I guess .... I will be stopping by there Friday afternoon to see if maybe just maybe I can get a discount.

I was also told in store at Costco that this TV would NOT be on sale black friday. The guy also showed me Costco's flyer showing their black friday sales and this TV was not one of them. I have never dealt with Costco and any price match policy. but like you, I am not going out in that shopping mess.
