Anyone who ordered one last night from Sam's better check your order status. I ordered mine, decided to check the order and it was canceled. They apparently oversold and are canceling some orders.

Maybe because you tried to order 2 and the ad clearly states limit 1 per customer? :P

FWIW, I picked one up online at 10PMCT last night.

Delivery some time in the next week.

$998 plus $78 for 3 year "protection plan" from Sam's Club, so we'll see how it works out. It's replacing a 50" Panny Plasma, so I'm hopeful it won't feel like a step down in PQ.

EDIT: Spoke too soon.. mine got cancelled too, and I ordered it at 10:02! eek.gif

Fry's had it last year for 1499. This year they have nothing. They have this thing all week on FB where they say stay in bed and place your order online 9am thur then pick it up next day. Well 9am and of course the damn thing already crashed. This whole BF is so fraken stupid and stressful and I'm done with it online. Just have to do it the old fashion guerrilla style and brave the cold tom morning in store.

I ordered mine at 8:02 PST and found out this morning that it was cancelled but my card was charged as well, called Customer Service to find out that they are cancelling all orders from yesterday because it was a mistake offering it at that time?

Are they going to be offering another online sale then?
Anybody else trying Walmart to price match?
FYI, Sam's Club Facebook page is loaded with complaints about cancelled orders for this TV. It seems several people called Sam's Club customer service and were told they didn't really order the TV...even though they had printed out the receipt with order number, as I did. Also, they will not credit your credit card until about 72 hours. I'll visit Sam's tomorrow morning just to cancel my membership.

Nope, are you ready for this? I just got off the phone with walmart and they said they will NOT match Sam's club because they are the same company. They will match costco though on BF..there you go I'm passing it on.

I think I have the same thoughts. How can you price match a competitor, but not a subsidiary of the same company?

One lucky winner was able to get Amazon to match:

That's awesome man, good work. At least we know it can be done. Now if you just have the patience to gather up a super nice attitude with a lucky amazon rep..you might get lucky. I'm going to give it a go..why not?

Hey,

Thanks for your post. Just got this TV and I am struggling a bit. Mine has a line on the top of the screen that seems to be a second behind the rest of the screen.... Is yours the same? What are your "ideal" tweaked settings... would be interested to try...

I took the Sam's ad into Walmart today and they price matched it! Bought 2!

Ya, despite what a few of the others are saying, I had two managers confirm that they will price match any concurrent in store advertised deal so as long as you can find the tv in stock at walmart and bring in the ad you'll be good to go. That's a real shame that Sams online oversold their tv's.
Here's a few - Do you know questions?

Does the item that is being price match have to still be instock? Like if I go and price match now as some of you have had success doing - do you think it would be possible to do this at 7:30/8:00 am?
If you buy it in the store, can you pick it up later?

I don't have a vehicle big enough to take it home and working through the problem steps of getting it home and didn't know if you think that I could go and buy it now and pick it up tomorrow. I know that if layway was open, I could just spend $5 and have them hold it.

Creative ideas?
i think price matching totally depends on who you get at the counter.
As i posted yesterday my local walmart isn't opening layaway today/tomorrow and will not price match items for bf sales
I confirmed that tonight when i went for fun to check out the crazies. (my friend got there at 7 and was 15th in line, which shocked me really - i got there at 7:45 and was approx 1000)
i also asked tonight if they will price match the 65" vizio and they told me if it is in stock at the store running the deal, then yes otherwise no
on a related note I had walmart not match their own price for the bluray release of madagascar 3
it was listed online for $20 but in store was ringing up $35 - they told me they would match targets price of $25 but not walmart.com because it was a different sub division and not part of the store - bs imo
so i went to target and they priced match walmart $20 for me instead and then the manager went and changed the price on the shelf, thats what i call service

Just go buy it at Costco guys ... It's a lot less hassle and you get the warranty for Free for 2 years ... Neither Sams or Walmart has this and you pay for the extra.

But my local Costco has been sold out of this TV for the last couple weeks so I don't think it's gonna really be that easy to find one at regular price right now anyway.

I am literally outside of Sam's right now. Got here at about 11:30 and I'm posted in my car. There are 3 of us and We got our chairs out holding our spots but are sitting in our cars with the heat running. 2 of us are getting the TVs.

I'm 1st in line..
3rd guy just pulled up... He's getting the tv also... The store has 6... This should get interesting in a few more hours...

I sincerely hope it's organized and not a total stampede or mob scene, because things could get ugly FAST!

5 ppl in line (spots held by chairs) and 3 going for the 65" Vizio...

I would pay $300 to not stand in line all night .... So I guess I got a great deal! LOL tongue.gif

Sometimes is just fun and really rewarding to do something like this and be 1st or 6th in line. You feel such a sense of accomplishment that actually makes the TV even more satisfying. Like the time we got in line for star wars Ep 1 midnight showing and got in on opening day. The process was way more fun than watching the actual movie.

You know that saying, it's the journey not the final destination that's exciting. It's the same sense as volunteering and feeding a soup kitchen on the holidays,..it can be tiring and exhausting but you feel good at the end of the day you did something to earn it. The thrill of the hunt, how it's more fun to go after some one you have a crush on rather than waiting for him or her come to you. When you work for it.. can be very rewarding and builds character. And on this night I congrats Mindk not only for being 1st line but scoring major savings. Btw which Sam's are you at?

Now hold on, I'm not talking about stampeding over some old lady to get your 32" for 99 bucks ok.
