I mentioned this in the Klipsch owners thread, but it got buried (that thread moves fast!). I was wondering if anyone could provide a scientific reason why I would prefer the sound of a 4 year old RC-52 over a brand new RC-62 II. I am listening to them back to back and the RC-52 is just clearly better IMO. I mean the RC-62 II is a great center by all means and if I were to have ONLY listened to it I would say it was really good, but the 52 just sounds cleaner and more forward, especially in dialogue. Every nuance of the soundtrack is more defined and crisp. Could it be that the RC-52 has had time to break in properly and the RC-62 II hasn't? Or is there some other engineering at work? I read somewhere that the crossover design was changed in the newer generation? Can anyone else please weigh in that has experience with these centers? Thanks!
