I have flashed 2 of these card before And haven't had problems. And I am pretty confident I gave you good advice.

Now we have reached unfamiliar territory for me. So from here on out I am GUESSING

First I would retype step 2 a couple of times

did you use the batch files or simply enter some DOS commands?

The reason I told you to use the batch files is because they correctly clean the IBM card (your step 2)

I did mine on with a 939X2 CPU in an ASUS A8n-cm MB (same vintage year as yours), and it worked perfectly with the batch files.

Had mine in the

If you actually read the lime-tech threads they talk about this exact scenario of correctly clearing the IBM MegaRaid.

Research is your friend.

Can't tell you what to do now.

I am not sure what you mean by batch files. The instructions from the site said to just type the commands. Are you going back to the other link and download ?

The batch file issues the same command. If he used a batch file it would of done the same thing

If it didn't erase your firmware or bios your probably still good.

Are the lights still flashing on the card?

I would type "MegaRec -adpList" as the next step

I got this.


I keep seeing mouse initialization failed. Does that matter?

The mouse appeared to work in the bios. It's an old MS wired USB

"Mouse initialization failed" is not a problem.

"IO base address high" could be a problem

ok so I started from the begining... move the card to the 3.0 slot at the top of the Z77.

First step worked.

Second step worked



and it finished the second step "megarec -cleanflash 0" Looks like success.

There should be a reboot in there somewhere...make sure you follow all steps exactly

you stated that you will NEVER boot off of this card. So....

Yes. After step 2 I control ALT DEL for a reboot.

That is what you mean right?

I did step 1.

I did step 2

It said 100% complete. I posted the screen above.

Then I reset with CTL ALT DEL and it went back to C:/> I tried both options- with and without the .rom and it both came back PAL error

I think the first try on the other motherboard was a problem with the funny way it does SLI and the card might of been in 1x mode not 8x mode ( just a wild guess)
