Upgrade speakers from dht-591ba

I have had the htib dht-591ba and would like to upgrade. I am a newbie and have become confused. Many forums recommended the energy rc-10 which are very difficult to find. I was also looking at the Boston a-25.

Wife would like them to be bookshelf size and hang from ceiling much like the current speakers from the dht591ba are.

I would also like to know:

1. Some speakers have two pairs of posts on the back. Do I need to run two pairs of wire to each or will these be like my current ones with just one cable with two wires +\-?
2. Will the Denton 591 receiver be sufficient or would I need to upgrade that too?

My living room is combined withe the dining room in a great room concept. The distance from the wall w/ tv to back wall is 17' 6" while the living area is 16' wide. Looking at the tv the dining area is to the left 9' so total room width is 25' to the open kitchen. It's a rectangle but the living area where we watch movies is 17' by 16'. Hope that helps and doesn't confuse.

Would like to keep price as close to $1000 as possible for 5.1.

I have Energy RC-10s with the same Denon 591 receiver that you have. They sound great. Unfortunately you wont be able to find the RC-10 anymore. The Boston A26 might be a good option.

Just use the top or bottom pair of speaker terminals, single wire to one red and one black terminal. No need to use both pairs but leave the jumper between top and bottom terminals in place.

Anyone have suggestions for speakers similar to the energy rc-10 speakers which have been discontinued, or is the boston acoustics a25 or a26 a good one to choose in the price range of $300 a pair?

Lots of other good speakers out there. They don't have the RC-10 sound though. But since you've never heard the RC-10 they may not have been your cup of tea.

KEF i10 or iq30. The 30's are worth the $50 extra

While word of mouth can give some insight - find the right sound signature for you. The Boston's
would be a nice option - along with the list in post #5 > however it would not be easy to hang the
Cambridge S30.

fwiw, just a suggestion, 2 pairs infinity p163's( $216 on sale at frys every other week) an infinity pc351 center( $199 amazon) and a hsu vtf-2 mk4 sub $582

Earlier today I'm not sure I would like the hsu if it more forward. If forward means more aggressive or harsh.

Anyone know of a good place to hear speakers in Southern California? Best buy has been sketchy on having things working, so I am hoping for something better.
