Hey all,
I'm debating between a HTIB like Sony 3D System vs an entry level soundbar like Polk Speaker Bar w Wireless Sub I really would like to keep my expense low but hopefully get best bang for buck sound. I'm no where near being an audiophile but I also don't want a horrible system.
My space is a bit awkward. The townhouse main floor is open concept approx 14' x 42' . My TV will be mounted on the wall. See plan view and rending below.
I want atleast 3 HDMI inputs (Xbox, Computer, spare) If I went the soundbar method, I'd use an HDMI switch to consolidate 1 HDMI leading to TV.
I also have a set of Paradigm Atom v.3 speakers. Nothing that special but I'd like to incorporate them if I can. See my schematic for one of my ideas.
I like the look of a soundbar way better than looking at a 5.1's left/center/right speakers
What are your thoughts? Theres a lot going on here but if any or all of this seems like ghetto fabulous nonsense, feel free to flame on. In the end, I just want some better direction. I'm open to other suggestions that are cost effective
Thanks!
