Room Darkening Blinds - did I do it right?

Did I measure these too short? Notice the light spill on the sides.

PS, this is a baby room, not a home theater room, but I figured you guys would know the answer :lol:

Thats not the real mcoy there....

I was trying to find a photo I had posted on a thread here but its gone....thread must have been deleted.

Those types will never darken....you need the ones with side rails\



Ok found a photo in my album....

My guess is that it most likely has something to do with the window frame. Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom. Are they different?
