Hello, I am searching for a component video switch and distribution amplifier (I guess it's called a matrix), that is at least 4x2.
Why component? My 40" 720p LCD is component.
My purpose? I want to switch between my STB, PS3, and WDTV, to go to my Avermedia EzRecorder and TV, so I can schedule PVR recording of the STB whilst playing PS3 or watching WDTV.
I have seen some posts of items, but they are god aweful expensive thousand dollar products. I don't think I'd want to go much over $100 - $150.
I get that I'm being cheap... I work in TV. I just can't warrant spending that kind of money on personal entertainment instead of a professional application.
Currently I use a Dynex Component Video Switcher. The quality is ok, better than one of those non-powered physical switches.
I have seen a few on ebay that are in the $100-150 range.
Has anyone used a rather inexpensive video switcher (matrix) such as this? or Something else to recommend?
