Panasonic st30 Plasma Picture settings

On just watching satelite/cable I am using D-nices setting but it seems a little dark and washed out. Is there any improvements I can make for that?

And for video games I am using "Game Mode" with some tweaks
Contrast: 80
Brightness: 50
Color:50
Tint: 0
Sharpness: 30
Color temp: normal
Color mgmt.: on
CATS: off
video nr: off

Advanced picture:
Block NR: off
Mosquito NR: off
Motion smoother: off
Black level: light

Any recommendations on tweaks I need to make for either of them?
Please resond, thanks.

The best combination is custom mode panel brightness mid and hdmi type set to "graphics'" contrast in high 70's brightness mid 50's color mid 40's.

I am not a gamer perhaps someone can weigh in on that but for TV and Bluray go with what I suggested above. Also check out the St30 diy thread for some settings ideas.

ok also the black level: dark looks way better and less washed out than "light" but everyone including d-nice have it set to "light". Is there any specific reason?

You don't want to use the "dark" setting that will result cause black crushing and you will use lots of shadow detail. If you set the brightness control correctly the blacks are just fine.

Try these settings

Contrast 78
Brightness 56
Color 46
Color Temp Warm2
Panel Brightness Mid
Gamma 2.2
3;2 Pulldown "On"
HDMI content type-"Graphics"

What does "graphic" setting do?

It tames the color(more accurate) on Mid Panel brightness, colors appear too saturated without that setting.
