I know there are better TVs for more money but my budget is already stretched as far as it can go.
The 60 inch is bigger and cheaper, but it is heavy and I can't mount it to a TV stand, I can mount the 55" one (Can't wall mount either) Mounting would be nice as I have a lot of AV components and would help placement for center channel. I also game and use a HTPC (no cable TV though) so burn in may be an issue, most movie and tv watching is done on netflix. But it is bigger and the picture quality is probably better.
viewing the TV from 8-13 feet away. Sound quality is a non issue as I have a sound setup.
So the plasma would be nicer for size, budget and image quality but much less convenient than an LED
