HDMI 1 or HDMI 2

On most Samsung TV's with only these two inputs, is there any major advantage or disadvantage in using one or the other for a Satellite box? I have a PN60E530.

Does one of those HDMI input do anything different than the other? (like ARC for instance or some other function)?

Negative Randy, only difference is HDMI 1 is labeled HDMI/DVI.

Then there should be no advantage to using one over the other for an HDMI satellite receiver. The DVI one simply gives you the added option of using it with DVI sources such as an older cable box or computer etc. and getting audio from one of the analog inputs.
