I am looking for a good sound bar around $500. It's going to be used in a smallish apartment. What would you guys recommend? Appreciate the help!

Thanks for the reply. I narrowed my search down to Polk 6000 or JB sb300, since they are both priced $500. JBL seems to have a bigger subwoofer. But not sure how the overall audio quality compare.

Keep in mind you can get a great deal on the Polk 6000 being they are an older model, the NEW 5000 is basically the same with blutooth streaming capabilities,a MUST for me and LOVE it.Good luck either way!

Thanks for pointing that out. Blutooh streaming is definitely worth considering.

The Polk 6000 has been out for a couple of years and has a bigger sub and more speakers than the newer 5000. I suspect the 5000 is the successor to the 3000/4000. There is also a new 9000 that looks quite impressive on paper, but will be above your budget. Last week i demoed a Klipsch SB 3 at Best Buy and it was musically the best <$1000.00 self powered soundbar system I've ever heard. Unfortunately it is also above your budget. As jroptop mentioned, you should be able to find a good deal on the Polk 6000 in the coming weeks.

Very true with the comparison of the 5000 to the 3000 and 4000,I only went with the 5000 for blutooth and can honestly say Im impressed with the sound!
