Im working in my theatre build and about ready to run some wires. Im running some conduit for the wiring, what type of connections do i need to run up to the projector? Dont have the projector yet.

(My two cents...) I'd run two HDMI cables.

any point in running components anymore?

You will need a power outlet and an HDMI. I would not run a second one, but make sure you leave enough room so you can feed, string a new cable through as the cables change... we all know they will!

ill leave a string in just in case. Got power outlet within a few inches so should be good to go. Whats the point of running a second hdmi?

besides power and hdmi to the receiver.. i dont think you need anything else unless you want to run the speaker wire too. your other components can connect to the receiver directly
