I have the LM7200 and thankfully have no problems with flash lighting or clouding. Now that said, I can create some problems by mucking around with the settings. So chances are, if you got a non-defective panel, you'll be able to play with the settings to minimize or completely avoid having any visual distractions.

To everyone worrying about the 60/120/240 hz thing, I just found this on the LG 60LM7200 Q&A page on the LG website...

240HZ TV BUT ONLY SHOWS 60HZ ON UPPER RIGHT SCREEN
We just bought the LG 60" LED 1080p 240HZ 3D Smart HDTV-60LM7200. In the upper right corner it shows 1080p / 60HZ.. Why does it only say 60hz? How do I fix this?

ANSWERS
The TV is already showing content in 240Hz, it takes whatever signal it is receiving and automatically makes it 240.. The 60Hz you see in the corner is the signal that is being given to the TV.

I picked up my set tonite at BB and I have to say I am very pleased, minimal flashlighting, I was also promtped to do a firmware upgrade.

I've had the TV for 2 weeks now. I've enjoyed this set very much. The screen quality is not nearly as good as the competitive Samsung I was interested in, but I got my LG for $1516.00 after tax so I feel like I'm getting good value instead. This set has comparable features, smart apps that are a great selling point but I'll hardly use, WiFi, motion thingy remote, but for me the passive 3D was the main point. The bezel on this set isn't nearly as attractive as is on the LM7600, but it's still minimalist. I have my tv running through a Denon avr 1613 which in return is being feed my HD cable box and PS3. I had the "Idiot Squad" come install my tv since this set was going above the mantle of a stacked stone fireplace and I didn't feel comfortable enough to mount this tv on my own, nor did I want the liability of messing up my own fireplace when i miss drilled. These guys had to come out twice. The first time they hanged it 9 inches to high from where we had discussed hanging it. Then they came back with a different mount that had more vertical adjustments and using the existing holes and anchors they put in my fireplace they were able to re-hang the tv and adjust it downward to where I wanted it.

Upon playing with the tv the quality is much better than the 3 year old 47in LG LCD 120hz tv i was replacing. And this set is much thinner in all aspects with much better audio quality. The HDMI 1 is an ARC input. The motion controller is annoying but I do not use it much if at all since I have a Harmony 900. I promptly started looking for flash-lighting and any sort if color distortion and I must have hit the LG lottery because there is none to speak of. I started tweaking the settings and have no motion blur to speak of when watching blue rays or really even regular tv. There are a multitude of settings and controls and I haven't event gotten far into the instant content through LG world. The FB interface is really dulled down though but for web surfing it's great especially with a wireless keyboard hooked up. Also I have not tested the dual screen mode for video games and am curious to see how well the screen can break up for each gamer to have a full screen to view. IF anyone has done this I'd like to hear their feedback.

As far as reflections go, I would say it's not quite as glossy as a plasma, but it's not quite as matte as some of the competitive products out there. I chose an LED over a Plasma due to the large amount of natural light I have coming in to the room where the tv is located at. I mostly notice some reflections of the overhead can lights more than anything else. But even with lots of light coming in the tv still maintains great brightness and visibility even from a distance as shown in pic 1.

All in all I am very pleased with my purchase especially for the price. I am now planning a build on in ceiling speakers but for now here are some pics of it mounted up!

A quick look indicates the primary differences to be in

1. contrast ratio.. 7200 is higher.
2. TruMotion .. 7200 is 240Hz - I've read that it does indeed help with 3D.
3. Local Dimming ... 7200 has the feature... I had initially turned it off to be a purist, but I've grudgingly come to acknowledge its usefulness in providing a better, more contrasty picture.

They have the same form factor, but the 7200 is quite a bit lighter.

I would advise if you have the funds to go with the TV with a higher contrast ratio. I think the 7200 is still lacking in that department and if I had the money and choices available in 60", I'd definitely shoot higher.

HHGregg had the LG7200 listed on their website as in stock. I went to the local HHGregg to hopefully get a look at one on display. They didn't have one on display but said I could get on a long waiting list for one. Anyway while there I noticed a Sharp LC-60LE847U on display. The Sharp had the best picture of all the TVs on display. It has basically the same specs as the LG with the addition of the quad color thing. The only downside for me is that the Sharp is active 3D and I was looking for passive. HHGregg was asking 2030.00 for the Sharp but they are price matching online retailers for the holiday. I found an online dealer on my smartphone selling the the Sharp for 1745.00. HHGregg matched the price and I took one home. So far I'm loving the Sharp. What a beautiful display. Those looking at the LG7200 should take a look at the Sharp LC-60LE847U also.

My story:
Black friday I bought two sets. Wifeys living room 55lm7600 and my man cave 55lm4700. Don't you even go near 4700 series. If you keep track on forum you probably know about lg misleading with false trumotion advertising. Had that tv for a week, strugling to like it, but every time I sit in living room I just knew it was waste of money. 7600 is very nice. But for 100$ more u get 60" so I returned both I got two 60lm7200. I'll skip 4700 compareson coz it's rubbish. So far only difference between 7200 and 7600 it's just outside look. Would even say that 7600 was more lagish while using Netflix, and overall home menu. 7200 - the best bang for the money. For some ppl that still missing regular remote, there's a very nice app for iPad and iPhone made by lg. Guys should try that.

My questions
Been using xmbc on my laptop is there a way to program magic remote to control mouse in windows? Would like to keep my setup to minimum - one remote

Medialink basicly is plex. Been trying to find some detailed info but still no results. Are they unsupported channels like navi x for xmbc or similar ones that I would be able to use thru medialink. And if yes could anyone point me in right direction please? If possible than disregard first question.

While I been doing research on 4700 series I read that on some tv's you can plug hdd and use it as a dvr. Been going thru so many pages that i lost track, and was unable to find it again. Is that correct, and if yes again I do ask for leads.

Btw some ppl been wonder why BB took it out from website. I'm from CT and to do swap I had to drive to MA. All BB were out of stock in my state, and no one was able to tell me when they restock - "that unit goes quick" I've heard few times. So that might be a reason - not enough units

Seems like a small thing until you encounter some of the stuff like Vizio's, and others, that have no discrete codes for direct inputs.

yes, it is compatible, at least with the comcast digital box / remote that I have. its actually real nice, the scroll wheel on the magic remote acts as a quick channel browser and is surprisingly fast and responsive..

No you won't.. It's currently in Vaporware State. Best Buy doesn't carry them, you can't rain check them and they have no idea when they will ship from LG. The TV is as good as vaporware. LG made a small batch for black friday and now you won't see it again till who knows when.

I just had mine delivered from best buy today and everything is perfect. I purchased it the monday before thanksgiving and they cancelled my delivery twice because all Best Buys in my state were out of stock. After complaining they gave me $200 off the already $100off sale price. The warehouse received them from LG this past monday so I wouldn't consider these vaporware....

Hi, Has anybody tried using Intel Wireless Display on this TV? Is the Widi receiver in TV is a 2nd generation receiver which supports 3D?

The LED is the black screen. You can see the lights in both of them...the plasma has clear reflections where the LED has muted ones.

Just when I thought I had my mind made up on the 55lm8600, the gf said we need a bigger TV. This new model looks nice! I wish it had the thinner bezel like the 7600-9600 models.

Really good price for the features. I have seen it at BB and the image is very crisp and sharp with excellent black levels.

In order for u to control XBMC using magic remote through simplink (LG brand of CEC-HDMI) u need to have an adapter to enable theCEC bus since it does not exist on any HDMI output port on any graphic card currently in the market
So u need something like RCAware adapter

Well, I finally have the 7200 set up and I'm really enjoying it -- especially for the price and with all the comments here helping me to get the best out of it.

But what about audio? The speakers are remarkably good, but I wanted to add my wireless surround system w/powered subwoofer to the mix. But all indications are I have to choose between the two, not have both. True?

I've been searching high and low for the 60LM7200 set. Best Buy seems to be sold out nationwide with 0 inventory in their warehouses. Their reps over the phone and LG live chat couldn't confirm when they would get any more units in. I'm a bit fearful that maybe this TV won't hit production anymore.

depending on your system and receiver. Some receivers can allow you to designate the source for your center chanel as the tv .

They havne't been looking hard enough. There is inventory at 2 stores near me in Ga.

Would you mind sharing the store numbers? Every store I have looked up online has said "Ships to store in 3-5 days" but when you click Add to Cart it errors out saying they don't have any.
