WTH! It was a one day sale? What happens if you purchased it the day before the sale are you still entitled to reimbursement? And how would you be able to prove it was on sale?

If you mean by this, if it was bought at $1700, can someone get a $400 price match refund on a tv that is no longer on sale at $1300, then the answer is no. AFAIK you have to act at the moment, and can't "retro" to the lowest its ever been regardless.

Can someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this? It would sure be valuable to know if I'm wrong.

Glad I pounced.
So if you bought it on Sat and it goes on sale on Sunday and returns back to regular price on Monday. You can't get reimbursed? I thought there was 15 day window?
You do have a 15 day Window but you have to catch it while it's still on sale. I was lucky I bought mine on Feb 27 but im a premier silver member so i have 60 day return and 30 day price match I happen to see it on sale Saturday and ran down to bestbuy and they price matched me no problem for 1299 I was very happy!!

If I read you correctly, that 15 day window is basically a 15 day price match, right? Otherwise, what does it mean to have a 15 day window?

Is anyone using the LG TV Remote App?

Either the Apple or Android version?

In the Google Play Store , the LM7200 is not listed in the supported models, unless this TV is considered somewhere between LM7000-8600.
Sorry I should of explained better basically you have 15 days from the time you purchase the tv to price match the tv if you find it onsale either at a bestbuy store or any of the authorized retailers that bestbuy price matches with. The tv must still be onsale so basically you have to price match while the tv is onsale since it's back to 1699 you can no longer price match it.

I just happen to see it onsale by accident Saturday while clicking the bestbuy app on my phone to look for some 3d bluray movies it opened the last page I viewed wich was my tv the lg and it said 1299 I was shocked so i ran down to bestbuy with my reseipt and they price matched it for me . I was told it was a 2day sale only so you had to be quick to catch it at that price wich was a amazing price for what you get.

Hope that helps you thanks.

I used it a few times it's neat but probably not something I would use everyday I use the android one on a galaxy s3. I do however use the YouTube app on my phone and then shoot it to the tv wich is neat and also view pics on my phone to the tv as well.

The screen capture is kinda neat on the lg app but basically not something people will use every day but does come in handy sometimes when you can't find the remote lol.

So wait if it was on sale on Saturday the person who bought on that day shouldn't have to pay full price. Right?

thanks,
I'll probably use it on my Samsung galaxy Note 10.1.

Yes if you bought it Saturday then you got it for $1299. It was a two day sale Saturday and sunday so if you purchased on either of them days then it was $1299. I purchased on feb 27 but I was lucky enough to see it Saturday on sale and they price matched me no problem and refunded me $400 on my debit card wich I just got back today and was very happy to say the least specially since I never get lucky like that!

Got it at sales price! Thanks theblackeys, tgm1024, Salnria and anyone else who responded! Working on getting use to and enjoying the set!

3D real nice.

LG Remote app on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is awesome.
Didn't even open the magic remote.

Really nice picture.

Bottom left corner brightly lit.
Gently pressing on corner does not help.
This is my only issue. It is a real annoying one at that.

I'm sorry to hear this. I had hopes for you until that last paragraph. :-/

I have great news!
I "had" a very bright bottom left corner, a white light leakage.

No more! It's black!

There were instructions on one of the Samsung threads about loosening screws behind the screen.
The screws possibly were factory tightened too much causing un-uniformity in the way the screen was lying- mounted.

I followed the directions, carefully, and the bad area in question is gone!

Beware, I am not responsible for you messing up your TV or voiding your warranty.

It involves 2 people, and removing the rear plastic bezel, speaker housings, and metal backing.

I will post the link to the original post later if everyone agrees that this could be a risky situation.

Thank you to that gentleman that figured this fix out.

Do any of the screws (screen / chassis / anything) have tamper markings on them? Paint, or a line showing a turn marking? Is there any evidence left behind?
I'm loving the TV thus far but I don't know how long the remote is gonna last. It seems to be somewhat suicidal falling and flinging itself from the spots that I leave it on. As a safety precaution I've been using the logitech programable Harmony remote for input selection and basic tv functions. I couldn't recommend it enough!

No but if you are not steady with the screwdriver you could leave scratches on the back plastic bezel.

The housing screws are black painted and lose a little black color.
Inside the screws are silver steel.

I used a #1 & #2 phillips screwdriver.

" Is there any evidence left behind?"
No, not even the wife knew what I did!
just don't forget any screws!

For anyone else attempting this: Try starting with a nylon screwdriver. And/Or repaint them carefully with a Q-tip. It's not worth having a $700 panel repair being refused. Be careful.

Is there a 2013 replacement for this model?
From what I have read the 60" offerings from LG for 2013 are pretty disappointing unless you want their flagship.

This set was introduced late in 2012 so it's possible something like it could be released mid-year again. Price to feature set, this TV was an anomaly in LG's lineup.

Nope, it's all we got in the 60" category for now from LG. Excellent panel, couldn't recommend it more.

WALL MOUNT DEPTH FOR 60LM7200 ??

I just got my 60LM7200. I have it on it's stand right now but am looking to mount it to the wall with a low-profile, non-tilting mount. I see that there is a "bump out" along the bottom of the back. In my picture below, the bump-out is at the bottom-center (The stand is on the left). As far as I can tell it extends 1 and 1/4 inch out from the bolt-holes for the mount. Therefore I need a mount that extends 1 1/4 inch or more. Is there a correct assessment? Or is a different minimum depth for a mount appropriate?

I am looking at a mount from monoprice that indicates a 1 1/4" clearance - think this will do the trick?

Thanks,
Steve

Just finished my backlighting project and I’m quite pleased with the results.
All parts were bought on E-Bay (led strip + power adapter + remote dimmer) for a total of about $16.00.
I even programmed my Harmony One to turn on/off the lights and increase/decrease the brightness
post #628 of 731
I managed to snag one of these insanely awesome panels on March 9th from Best Buy.

As has been mentioned previously in this thread, the one-day sale was on the 24th.

Admittedly, I did have a price alert set up on it, just in the event that it dropped, but I wasn't expecting to get $422 back in my pocket on the last possible day of pricematching.

This is awesome! People who haven't seen bias lighting are totally missing out on the most comfortable way of watching TV ever. I even have a makeshift bulb behind my TV with awesome results. Could you post this in the Flat Panel General & New FP Tech forum? Or perhaps there's a better place for it than here. This will help a lot of folks!

Perfect!

That does look nice i might have to give the leds a try around my tv for 16 bucks worst thing i can do is not like it and im not waisting alot of money.

Anyway i had my tv calibrated today and i have all the results i know some people was asking for calibration settings i can provide them if anyone wants them. But as always remember every tv is different but im sure it might be a good start for some.

What i found very weird is that i watched them calibrate it the whole time and i asked why contrast was set to 100 and they said thats what i called for for daytime veiwing the settings were,

backlight 86

contrast 100

both sharpness was 15

color 52

brightness 58

tint 0

also in advanced settings everything is turned off no dynamic contrast no true motion
