Hit Best Buy in my area. Had em in stock. But price at 1599. Sale long gone.

Will watch and wait.

Had a chance to look at new Sony's. They are pretty nice and in same price range.

I have had my 60LM7200 for about 6 months. I did pop the lower corners to get rid of some of the light that was showing on dark scenes. Other than that I love the tv. The S O E is not a real problem because with a 60 inch screen in my living room and my 7.1 HT system cranked up it is an experience to behold.

I had some clouding bottom right and left, not too bad and I v-e-r-y gently pressed the screen corners with a cloth and yes it really does work, I used a cloth and pressed very gently, no way enough to damage it and the click or pop just happened, now there really is no clouding..... thanks to all for this smile.gif

FWIW - I watched a BB guy punch the 7200 screen today, to demonstrate quality of IPS vs. non-IPS screen. I wouldn't punch my own, but I wouldn't be concerned pressing it gently.

Trying to decide between 7200 and 7400. Wife doesn't like the silver of the 7400, so that's a huge consideration. Also hung up on the Vizio M series 70" for a few more hundred dollars, but the 7200 would save about $500 and we seem to be two of the few that like the 2D-3D conversation for TV shows like the walking dead. Besides the fancy voice activated remote with the 7400 any other differences anyone has seen?

I've been trying to convert 2D to 3D, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone having success with 2D to 3D conversion?

Oh good grief, now I've heard everything there is to hear about best buy.  Holy crap.

BTW, there's considerable confusion out there as to whether or not certain LG screen models are actually IPS.  It used to be "If it's passive 3D, then it's also IPS" (and in fact, this was stated by LG in their tech journals), but that's just not the case.  Unlike Panasonic which establishes firmly in writing that their IPS models are *always* IPS, LG models just do not make that claim.  You need to do the Lupe test to see the shape of the sub-pixels.

Picked one up from BB last night for 1399 - it had been 1599 when I looked at it Monday. Not sure when price changed but looks like it went back to 1699 today. First screen we got was bent! Looking down the top of the screen you could see a left curve in the last half on the screen (screen front left) with "wrinkles" in the top and bottom molding. This corresponded with an area of box damage once we noticed the TV damage. It looked as if someone got under it with a forklift and cranked as box was intact. While disappointed we tried out a little Hobbit 3D and was still impressed with the picture. In fact, I was impressed there was a picture with extent of damage! Flashlighting in the area of the "wrinkles" other than that, impressive.

Took it back today, checked the new one in store, got it home and set up. Used a combo of beardontwalk123 and riverside's settings in a bright room with good results. I think the screen is more reflective than our old CRT, but not much more. PQ, to my untrained eye, is great.

For anyone else considering, I was initially torn between the 7200 and 7400. I was also considering the Vizio Razor M70. The Vizio seemed more reflective than the LG and the wife wasn't sure about going that big. She also hated the silver bezel of the 7400. I couldn't see spending $500 more to talk to my remote, or $700 more for an extra 10" that might not be as good or as useful as the 7200 in my environment. I was ready to pull the trigger at $1599 but $1399 made it that much sweeter.

Currently watching NASCAR with tru motion on user with the 0/3 setting. Hated true motion before but looks good set like this.

Thanks to everyone who put the info out there to help me decide and the settings to dial it with so quick.

I'm trying to follow the instructions for accessing the service menu on my TV, but I've had no luck so far. I went to bestbuy and purchased an RCA RCRN03BR. I'm on the newest firmware 05.01.15, although I'm not sure that matters.

I programed the remote with code 10856 and now the RCA can control my TV, but when I hit button 2 on the RCA controller it just takes me to channel 2 on the TV. Am I missing something? Do I need to use a different code? The Guide/Home button on the RCA controller does nothing.

EDIT: Figured it out with the instructions from this thread

"With a RCA RCRN03BR universal remote (@ Best buy $9.99) enter the TV code '11758'. Turn the TV on and press 'Enter' on the RCA remote. Enter password 0413 to access the EZ Adjust menu. Use Chan up/down to navigate the menu and OK to choose."

This allowed me to access the EZ Adjust menu and change the EDID_Type to DTS or AC3. However, I was unable to turn on THX as it was greyed out.

Hope this helps anyone else attempting to access the Service Menu!

I reviewed but didn't have the info. about edge lit or full array. But just chatted with LG support and they both are full array TVs. They both are 2013

I'm trying to find out if anyone has any of these model ? is it better than LM7200.?

Amazon is selling 60LA6200 for $1300+ and 60GA6400 for $1400+.
BB should price match this deal. wink.gif

Changed out TV from a Sony to LG..everything runs thru the receiver..TV on HDMI2 and PS3 on HDMI1. Well when I turned on the old Sony the receiver would come and play on HDMI2..just like it was suppose to. Now when I turn on the new LG, receiver comes on but starts on AV4 then I have to change it to HDMI2 manually..how do I get it to start on HDMI as the old one.
You can make adjustments to 3d but you have to be in 3d mode..was wondering what settings most are using.

ARC?...I have my cable box to HDMI2 and PS3 to HDMI1 and HDMI out to TV. Simple set up..my question is when I connect the TV to the internet I get the video but the sound is still whats coming in from the cable box..I thought if the TV received sound it would pass it back to the receiver and I would hear that. Both ARC is set to on on the TV and receiver..any ideas.

Not full array, but rather direct lit. HUGE difference.

I just returned both 60LM7200 and 60LA6200.
Both were worse panels .....ever
Now the hunt begins again ...lol

Gently press the lower corners of the screen with your thumbs. You will hear and feel a small "pop" but don't worry it will improve your picture by reducing the light that shines through on the lower corners of your TV.

I own the KDL-60R550A.  Sony is a very solid TV manufacturer.

I'm having problems with the component video input on my 60LM7200 not producing a proper "red" color. I don't think it's the component cable I'm using, so it must be that odd little "3-cable component --> single cable RCA-type adapter" that came with the 60LM7200 that allows it to connect to the single port input for component video. side note: what is this adapter, and why doesn't the LM7200 have a proper red/blue/green component input? I've never seen anything like it before - is this exclusive to LG or is this little component-->RCA adapter something I can buy online to try out a different version of it?

I've had a 60" LM7200 for about 6 months now.  I'm not sure if I missed an answer to my dilemma so my apologies if this has already been asked and answered in the thread already.  I didn't notice it at first but there seems to be a lot of blurred images when anything on-screen moves quickly (i.e. a head turning to the side quickly or a car driving fast past stationary objects).  It's noticeable when using both the TV input (Verizon FIOS) and Blu-ray player.  I'll freely admit that no one would call me a techie but I've playe with the video settings a little with no results.  Anyone out there have any suggestions?

Thanks.
