I need a 37-42" local dimming LCD. What are my choices?

I asked before but I don't think I worded my question correctly. I'm looking to build a virtual pinball machine and need either a 37-42" LCD. But I'm not attracted to edge lit LCDs because if I'm going to be standing directly over it I don't want to see ghosting, bleeding, clouding, etc the usual problems with LCD. So is there a 37-42" on the market now with local dimming?

I hear great things about Vizio and Sony. I'm not set on any particular brand.. just need maximum bang for my buck and something to give me a near 3D image (for pinball tables). I decided to not go with a plasma such as the 42UT50 due to heat and dithering up close. I think LCD will give me the razor sharp picture I'm after so all I need is suggestions to what I can buy right now.

If the Sony only has a minimum of 46" local dimming model that I can stretch for that size. The absolute largest size I can fit in the cabinet is 47". I'd prefer 37-42" but if the picture is going to be out of the world then I'll take a larger but 47" is the limit and it has to be worth it.

I thought Vizio has (or had) some 42" XVT models with local dimming.. or is it "smart dimming" they call it? What's the difference and are they good performers? I'm leaning toward the 46HX929 but want to consider all options first.
