I've got a Samsung HDTV panel, fed by HD cable and a PS3 for bluray.
Just added a couple nice powered speakers I had leftover from another project. So just two channels. I plugged the audio out of the panel into the audio in of the speakers and it sounds great. A really nice improvement over the built-in TV.
However, I have no volume control from the remote. It appears the panel expects the audio out to be feeding a home theatre amplifier, which would have its own remote for volume control.
Needless to say I need wireless volume control. Is there some kind of inline level controller with a wireless remote out there? I've looked but can't find anything.
If I had to go for a receiver of some kind, 1) what's cheap but effective for the job (all I need is volume control), and 2) can I feed powered speakers from an amp?
thanks!
