Cheap 5.1 system

Any particular favorites around here? I'm looking for a 5.1 htib with either a dvd or blu-ray player for the in-laws. They're old and only just upgraded to a flat panel display a year ago so they have no idea what is good quality or bad quality. All they know is the tv speakers aren't loud enough. Also, the only dvd player they have is really old and doesn't upscale. They really only need a dvd player that upscales, but if blu-ray package is cheaper I'd go with that instead. Any ideas? It's either this or a soundbar.

There's lots of cheap 5.1 complete (includes the blu-ray player) systems around, especially if they are not that concerned with quality and/or bells and whistles. Major mfrs like Onkyo, Yamaha, Denon, Sony, etc make them. You just need to search.

Yeah I've done the searching. I'm wondering if anyone here has an opinion as to which ones are good/bad. I trust AVS over Amazon reviews any day.
